Thinking like a winner
Many factors go into defining our attitude for any given moment within a day. It is obvious how immediate
circumstances, such as winning the lottery, hearing bad news, finding just the right gift for a loved one, or being
bumped into by a rushing stranger may affect our attitude at a given moment. However our attitude at any specific
point in time is much more complex.
At work, our attitude is effected by our family, friends, and living situation. At home, our attitude is affected by the
quality of our workday. Our life at home and work are a continual cycle and a negative experience builds, even
among the most positive of people.
Not only do we need to understand and impact our own attitudes, we must know how to deal with the attitudes of
those with whom we come in contact, including co-workers and customers.
