Balancing Home and School
The demands of the teaching profession take a heavy tool on educators.  Exit interviews in Arizona,
Florida, and Minnesota show that the number one reason people leave teaching is the impact of the
classroom on their personal life.  This class looks at what causes it and how to take control of your life
once more.

Communicating with Parents
Outside of the classroom, communicating with parents is one of a teacher’s biggest challenges.  Irate
parents, misunderstood messages, and hard feelings interfere with a positive academic experience for
the student.  This class is designed to equip teachers with the communication skills required for
superior parental communication.  We cover real communication situations you face on a regular basis,
including parent-teacher conferences, report card comments, and general parent contact.

Diversity on Campus
Communities through the country are experiencing a growth in the diversity of their residents. From
kindergarten to higher education, educators are now faced with a need to understand the cultures and
beliefs of these emerging populations. This workshop acquaints educators with information they need
to connect to their diverse students and parents.

Engaging Students by Igniting Your Own Creativity
A key factor for instilling knowledge in students is to be able to capture their imagination through
creative thinking.  This class provides proven viable techniques to get your creative juices flowing and
methods to get your students looking at literature, history, mathematics, science and other subjects
with a fresh view and understanding.

Generations in the Classroom
Colleges and universities are now seeing students from four generations sitting side-by-side in the same
classes. With different cognitive styles, motivators, and technical prowess, and attention spans,
Educators are finding it challenging to connect the multi-generational classroom to the same learning
outcomes. This class provides insight into strategies to create superior outcomes.

Procrastination: Putting it off!
Do you put off grading papers, preparing lesson plans, or handling a classroom problem?  This class offers
practical and proven methods along with new ideas to take control of your time by overcoming the
procrastination habit.

Project Management
Whether your projects are classroom assignments, school activities, or extracurricular projects, this
class will teach you what you need to coordinate and lead a team to successful completion. Together
we look at strategy, creativity, building alliances, establishing teamwork, and remaining focused.
