Traditional managers rule with strong policies that are steadfastly enforced. They make the decisions for their organization and are the “go-to” person to solve any problems or situations that arise. The management style received instant results when first introduced by Frederick Taylor in the early 1900’s and still is popular today.
Today many contemporary managers have found they are able to dwarf their earlier results but transforming themselves from a manager to a leader. They see their employees as valuable assets of equal importance to them. As leaders, they are no longer bogged down by human issues and repetitive or redundant tasks; instead, they are able to spend that time on strategy and the core process.
