Most people like to feel they are doing an outstanding job. Perhaps they are, but who really knows? Employees in department “x” may feel their department is superior while workers in department “y” feel that department “x” never gets their work done. This leads to discontent and rivalry that is harmful to the organization. However, setting quality standards will encourage employees to excel above current levels and provide the necessary goals for motivation and continual improvement.
During this program, we will:
Determine departmentally and inter-departmentally the standards or quality required
Select appropriate measurements based on departmental and industry requirements
Instill skills for High Performance teamwork
Once quality expectations are set and measured real teamwork begins. Effective use of measurements and reporting not only causes individual and departmental performance to increase, it gives a rallying point that leads to different departments assisting other departments in ways that were only upper management dreams prior to the program.
