"Sail"
We all have heard of “customer service” and understand the term refers to providing great service to both internal and external
buyers of our goods and services.

Internal customers are most frequently the victims of “Customer Slur-vice”. It occurs when an employee cuts down another
employee or department to any other employee or to a customer. During a recent visit to one of the discount big box retailers on
Rochester Road, your Examiner asked how the checkout clerk liked her job.

“It would be great if there weren’t so many a—holes working here,” was her surprising response.

How can one feel good about shopping in a place where these types of internal customer disservice are so well entrenched?

The Slur degrades the entire organization or company as the organization’s reputation always hinges on each individual within the
organization.

Protect your company, department, organization, and/or team from this detrimental cancer by showing them the importance of
internal customer service. Most employees do not consider their coworkers are customers.
